Uno Five returns to the winners stall

Feb 24, 2016

Ultra consistant galloper Uno Five scored a well deserved win last weekend when he took out the Open Handicap over 2200m at Doomben.

Since jointing the Hill stable in November, the seven year old has recorded two wins, six placings and a very credible forth from his nine starts.

Connections knew a Saturday win wasn't far away and finally everything went the way of the gelding.  Jumping from barrier two, Uno Five settled in the box seat and enjoyed a lovely run before being presented in the straight, where he proved too strong and pulled away to score by a length and a half.

It was a perfect ride by apprentice James Orman who has ridden Uno Five in eight of his past nine runs.  They will team up again this Saturday at Doomben and try and make it back to back wins.
