Torpedo continues on his winning way

Dec 31, 2015

Honest galloper Torpedo recorded his third win last month, with a gutsy effort over 1800m at Murwillumbah.

Given a ten out of ten ride from an awkward draw, by his regular rider Jag Guthmann - Chester, the big grey gelding travelled nicely in the box seat.  As instructed by his master and trainer, Bruce Hill, Guthmann - Chester made his move approaching the 700m and was able to pinch a break on the rest of the field.  Torpedo fought hard to hold off the fast finishing race favourite Habsburg by a long neck.

Guthmann - Chester and Torpedo have built up a good record together this preparation, combining for three wins, and two placings.
