Toronto Flyer back to his best

Aug 22, 2017

Toronto Flyer returned to the winner's stall at Beaudesert this afternoon after scoring an all-the-way win in the Barrier Reef Pools Class 3 Plate over 1650m.

The son of Rothesay was given a perfect front running ride by stable apprentice, Jag Guthmann - Chester.  He jumped away fairly but was urged the lead and travelled beautifully in front.  Race favourite Barraaj started to put the pressure on approaching the home turn and looked to have his measure, but Toronto Flyer refused to give in and dug deep to score by half a length.

It was win number four for the five year old and it took his prizemoney earnings to over $42,000.  Trainer Bruce Hill was thrilled with the win and believes that he will get out over more ground.
