Kermandie Star scores on debut

Kermandie Star kicked off her racing career to a perfect start on Sunday, with a win in the QTIS two year old Handicap over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast.
Jumping from barrier 12, the High Chaparral filly settled in a nice position just worse than midfield. Jockey Matthew McGuren provided her with a beautiful ride, guiding her through the field in the straight and she sprinted strongly to run down the leaders and score by a neck.
Kermandie Star was purchased by trainer Bruce Hill at last year's Magic Millions sale in June for just $30,000 and she certainly looks to have a bright future ahead.
