Bodega Negra continued his good form this preparation by taking out the Class 6 Handicap over 1600m at Doomben on Saturday.

Despite jumping from the outside alley, the four year old found himself in a lovely midfield position, thanks to a superb ride by jockey Glen Colless.  He was shuffled back approaching the turn but on straightening he let down well in the heavy going and pulled away to score by a length.

It was win number five for the son of Hidden Dragon and his third this preparation.  He may line up again this Saturday in the Listed Tails Stakes over 1630m.
