Favoured Grace proves too good

Mar 02, 2015

Favoured Grace recorded her maiden victory yesterday at the Sunshine Coast and provided her sire Monaco Consul with his first winner.

Lining up in the two year old Fillies Maiden over 1200m, Favoured Grace was given a lovely ride by Matthew McGuren.  She travelled well in the small field of six runners and despite wanting to shift out in the straight, McGuren kept her balanced and guided her across the line to score by half a length.

Trainer Bruce Hill was thrilled to get the win on the board as he has always had a very good opinion of her.  Hill purchased the filly for $15,000 at last year's Magic Millions QTIS sale and she has now collected $21,700 in just her first two starts.
