Three year old gelding Rabasco broke through for his maiden victory with a tough win in the Maiden Handicap over 1300m at Ballina yesterday.

Jumping form barrier ten in the field of thirteen, rider Matthew McGuren was able to get him in a perfect position, one out behind the leading pair.  Rabasco fought hard in the straight to run down the leader and score by a nose.

Bought at the 2013 Magic Millions QTIS sale for $36,000 by trainer Bruce Hill,  the Red Element gelding has now picked up $8.875 in just his first two starts.
