Hill stable apprentices on fire
Apr 28, 2014
It was a fantastic weekend for the Bruce Hill stable apprentices, with Tegan Harrison winning her first group race and Quayde Krogh notching up his first winner.
Harrison saluted on Temple of Boom in the Group 2 Victory Stakes at Eagle Farm on Saturday and earlier in the day she took out the Listed Tails Stakes aboard Brave Ali making it a black type double.
It was a well deserved big race win for the twenty five year old who went down by the barest of margins last year in the Group 2 QTC Cup aboard Griffon. Along with her feature wins Harrison has a lot to proud of, in her short time riding she has won a QLD provincial apprentice of the year award, a QLD metropolitan apprentice title and with 34 metropolitan wins on the board already this season, she looks like making it back to back premierships.
Young rider Quayde Krogh recorded his first race win on Friday aboard the Hill trained La Ranita at Murwillumbah. Krogh had his first race ride on Australia Day this year so it was only fitting that his first winner be on Anzac Day.
With his first win now under his belt we're sure there will be plenty more to come.
