First Release proves too quick for the older horses

Sep 09, 2013

First Release posted her second win yesterday by taking out the Lindsay Transport Class 1 Handicap over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast.

Ridden by Chris Munce, the three year old filly settled in behind the leaders and always looked to be travelling well. She peeled out in the straight to run down race leader Stay Til Dawn and pulled away to score by two and a half lengths.

It was a tough win by the daughter of Publishing as she was the only three year old in the nine horse field.

Purchased at the last year's Magic Millions QTIS sale for the bargain price of just $10,000, the win took her earnings to just under $35,000.
