Miss Husson too good

Sep 06, 2013

Smart filly Miss Husson recorded her first win on Wednesday by taking out the Yellowglen Fillies three year old Maiden Plate over 1200m at Eagle Farm.

Jumping from barrier two Miss Husson settled in the box seat and travelled well throughout the race.  Jockey Chris Munce searched for a gap in the straight and when it appeared, the filly charged through and never looked in doubt, scoring easily by two and a half lengths over runner up Willow Mist.

It was the second start for Miss Husson, with her only other race start being in a $100,000 two year old race at the Gold Coast earlier this year.  She flashed home from last to finish sixth but pulled up slightly shin sore so Hill turned her out for a break. He has always had a high opinion of the Husson filly, who he purchased at last year’s Magic Millions sale in January, and he predicts a bright future for her.
