Davor records win number two

Apr 01, 2017

Davor chalked up his second win last month, with a solid effort to take out the Class 2 Handicap over 1800m, on his home track.

Lining up in a field of just four runners, the four year old settled back last and travelled nicely under jockey Matthew Palmer.  He made his move at the 600m mark and the gelding let down well over the final stages to win easily by a length and a half.

Trainer Bruce Hill believes that Davor will get over ground but he has just taken time to learn what racing is all about.  In his previous runs he had the tendency to over race but he is settling much better and when he does, he can finish his races off strongly.

Hill will now look to step the Bernadini gelding up over 2000m plus, at his next start.
