Concrete Lady proves too tough

Apr 23, 2012

Tough filly Concrete Lady lived up to her name over the weekend by racing at the Gold Coast on Saturday and successfully backing up on Sunday at the Sunshine Coast.

After pulling up well following her luckless run in the 900m event at the Gold Coast, trainer Bruce Hill elected to run her again in the 1000m Class 1 on Sunday and the move paid off with the three year old scoring narrowly over more fancied runner Lava Corona.

It was the second win from only five starts for the Snippetson filly and she'll now have a fortnight until her next run.
