Midnight Fury proves too good

Mar 26, 2012

Promising filly Midnight Fury recorded her first win from only her second race start on Saturday by taking out the Good Guys Carlsaldine 2 Year Old Handicap over 1350m at Doomben.

The heavy track proved no issue for the daughter of Hussonet as she traveled comfortably throughout  the race under jockey Paul Hammersley and sprinted hard in the straight to run down race leader Holey Gadoley.

Trainer Bruce Hill was delighted with the win but was far from surprised, "I was very happy with her first start and she's done everything right since then, I added the blinkers and was very confident she'd run well, the only query was to whether or not she would handle the ground", he stated.
