Lady Colours shows her class

Jan 08, 2012

Speedy filly Lady Colours secured herself a place in next week's Magic Millions 2yo Classic with an impressive victory at the Gold Coast yesterday.

Jumping from barrier 4 the daughter of Red Dazzler took up the lead in the 900m event and and pulled away from the field in the straight to score by 2 1/2 lengths, beating home Adelaide visitor Little Critter and the Patinack pair Headless and Aronson.

Trainer Bruce Hill was impressed by the win and will wait and see how she recovers from the run before he confirms a start for her in the Magic Millions.

Purchased for $90,000 at the Magic Millions QTIS 600 sale in April last year Lady Colours has now amassed $105,200 in just 4 starts.
