Tehuti scores at Ipswich

Sep 16, 2011

The Hill stable made it one from one today at Ipswich when their only starter Tehuti scored an impressive victory in the colts and geldings Class 2 Handicap.

After jumping away well jockey Larry Cassidy opted to take a sit off the pace, allowing the colt to travel along comfortably behind them. Cassidy then stoked him up approachig the turn and after straightening the 3 y.o. hit the line hard beating the opposition by over a length.

Trainer Bruce Hill was very pleased with the run, "He's been racing in the open 3 y.o. races in town and has been copping a lot of interference. We thought we'd bring him back to Ipswich in a weaker race , hopefully get an easy win and get him his confidence back and it's worked out great."

Hill's not sure what the next step will be for the son of Conatus but judging by todays run there'll be more wins to come.
