Our Hussey keeps improving

Feb 17, 2011

Promising galloper Our Hussey dispelled fears she coultn't handle wet ground when winning the Class 1 (1200m) at the Gold Coast today.
Having just her sixth start the daughter of Hussonet and Danewell scored her second win when defeating six other rivals after settling outside the leader.
On a track rated heavy, Our Hussey pulled away in the final 100m after being perfectly handled by Paul Hammersley.
Officially starting $6 on-course, the grey filly started shorter on TABs and with corporate bookmakers.
Our Hussey, who was advertised on this website before it raced, has a good future on the track and has the breeding to shine at stud in time.
"She keeps getting better and I am happy to work through the classes with her," Bruce said.
"She wasn't that comfortable on the going but was still good enough to win.
"I will look at the calendar and pick out a nice race in a fortnight."
Our Hussey continues the good run of the stable.
