Startsmeup is heading for a short break before being prepared for the Magic Million Guineas (formerly Trophy) (1400m) at the Gold Coast in January.
The Bruce Hill trained gelding impressvely won the Saturday's impressive Sita Hcp (1350m) at Doomben, his second win at his past two starts.
The three-year-old settled in third pace and jockey Paul Hammersley moved him up at th turn.
The hoop asked Startsmeup for an effort at the 250m mark and Startsmeup quickly opened up a three lengths lead that he held to the line comfortably.
Invincible Mate, second and Magic Tartan, third had no answers.
Startsmeup, a son of Danzero-Bluevein, was the unlucky runner in the Magic Millions Classic in January where he finished fifth after being held up in the straight.
Hill tipped him out after that race believing he has a horse for the future.
"He was very immature in January and was do it on sheer ability," said Hill.
"He has still a little way to go physically and mentally and I will now give him two or three week in the paddock."
"The good thing about him is he can make a long sustained run and has the early dash to put himself in a good position."
Startsmeup is owned by brothers Glen and Marty Heran who are builders on the Coast.
They have a handful of horses with Hill with Startsmeup, to date the best of them.
With Saturday over Hill headed off to the Sunshine Coast on Sunday and came back with a winning double after Satch and Leapfrog did the right thing.
Leapfrog merely showed his class by leading throughout to easily win the 1000m Open handicap from Fleet N Fast and Obliviator.
The Listed race placegetter had a comfortable 2-1/4l to spare despite lumping 58kg.
"He will benefit from run and more wins at this preparation you would have to say look possible," said Hill.
"It is good to win because the owner Vito (Ulliana) is a true supporter of the stable."
Satch was heavily backed in the 2YO Class 2 (1600m) and easily put away decent gallopers Random Orbit and Dark Secrets.
Paul Hammersley had him off the pace pace and he swept down past them the oppostion to win well.
The victory come after an Eagle Farm maiden win and then a desperately close third at the same venue behind Equissential last start.
"He is appreciating the step up in distance and has naturally learned as he has gone along," said Hill.
Satch is owned by Nev Morgan who has been a Hill supporter for years.
"Nev is just a great bloke and I get a real kick out of winning for him," said Hill.
